Lance McCullers injury update, he's getting close!

It seems the return of Lance McCullers might be coming sometime soon. There is no return date set for the young righty, but A.J. Hinch did share with the media Tuesday afternoon that he will do a bullpen Wednesday and if all goes well a triple-A rehab start on Saturday.
McCullers has been out of action since being shut down during Spring training with a sore right shoulder (MRI was clear). He was placed on the 15 day DL at the start of the season and has been doing some work off and on.

The flame thrower per A.J. Hinch via MLB's Brian McTaggart shared "(He's) All systems go feeling real good." It seems his debut is right around the corner. Possibly sometime within the next week or two.

The Astros have made it know they wanted keep McCullers on some sort of innings limitations this season. This DL stint might have helped the team save his arm on the front part of the season so they can use him a little bit more heavily on the second part of the season.

When McCullers does come up, expect the Astros to work him back slowly. It might take a turn or two through the rotation till you see him get to a 100 pitches a game.
